Snowmobile trails, that is. The snow wasn't cooperating very well and it seems I was sideways every time a sled was coming at us. That got me to thinking about why I like mountain biking so much. On the road we "share" with the cars. On "bike" paths we "share" with fruit booters, joggers, dogwalkers, etc... On snowmobile trails, well, you get the idea. When I'm out on mountain bike trails it's just us. The Mountain Bikers. Selfish I guess but I'm sure the Smokers feel the same way when they're out freezing their @sses off smoking together. It's just them together in their misery. On MTB trails it's us bikers together in our version of bliss for a little while.
Is it Spring yet?

It was 10 degrees
and I was way overdressed. Oh well. The snow was a little less hardpacked and more like sand on Sunday. The climbs weren't as easy to go up or down. I thought of it as practice for the 2010 O2S except it will hopefully be warmer next August. Spencer and Meat joined us for the ride, with Spence showing up on his CX bike. I wouldn't have been able to even ride on those skinny tires in the snow. Looking forward to doing it again this Sunday. If anyone's interested, we'll leave our house at 1:00. Lisa's going to have soup ready for us after the ride.
